I hope you don’t mind me contacting you. This is just a quick email to see if you and/or some of your mountain bike group might be interested in coming along to an event we’re holding on Saturday 28th January in Glasgow at the Mitchell Library Theatre called the UK Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour.
The night will feature the best of the best adventure films from one of the world’s most prestigious mountain film festivals. We will be showing a special festival cut of a mountain biking film called “From the Inside Out” which looks amazing on the big screen as well as other films featuring adventure sports such as climbing, kayaking and skiing.
We are really keen just to get the word out there to people who love the outdoors. We have lots of local outdoor groups and clubs come along to screenings right around the UK as a midwinter social event. There will be lots of free prize giveaways on the night (including backpacks, bags, head torches, t-shirts, etc) as well as overall Banff Tour prizes of a mountain bike and a ski trip for two to Canada.
We would be extremely grateful if you could mention the screening to your group as a possible social event? The screening starts at 7:30pm, doors and the bar open at 6:30pm – the bar will be open during interval too!

Sounds like a great event, although a large number of us will be in the Oak Tree in sipping fine Scottish ales and praying that Simon won’t break out the guitar for Michael Buble 🙂
Saw this tour a couple of times when I lived just over the border from Banff itself, well worth going along if you’re a fan of outdoor/adventure sports.
